The Garner Educational Foundation (GEF) is a community-based, non-profit organization whose goal is to support the programs that promote quality education in the Garner area schools. The Garner Education Foundation was founded in 1990 by The Garner Chamber of Commerce and R.W. Moore, a local businessman. The organization works to facilitate communication and involvement among students, parents, school staff, business leaders and community citizens.
Organization and Board of Directors:
The Garner Education Foundation is a 503 (c) (3) non-profit, community organization which is governed by by-laws and a long-range plan. The current by-laws allow for not more than 25 which includes community members, retired educators, and the principal of Garner Magnet High School, East Garner Magnet Middle School, North Garner Middle School, and two elementary schools.
